The two-man team on Friday's Daily Dinger picks cooled off from Thursday, as both Peter Dewey and Reed Wallach hit on Vlad Guerrero Jr and Juan Soto earlier in the week.

Today, it's another two-man team looking for some power plays on a full slate of games on Saturday.

We're targeting two bashers in the middle of their lineups, whose splits stack up well against their opposing starting pitchers. Let's rake!

During the 2022 MLB season, the BetSided team of editors goes through our top home run prop bet picks of the day.

WynnBET Sportsbook provides home run prop betting odds for multiple players across every game, but not every player mentioned is always offered. Bettors can still wager on these matchups, as well as bet on multiple unique prop betting opportunities.

Odds shown are consensus if they are not available at WynnBET. If listed as TBD, it means odds have not been made available as of this writing.

Best Home Run Prop Bet Picks for Saturday, May 7

  • Kyle Schwarber (+400)
  • Mike Zunino (TBD)

Kyle Schwarber (+400) - Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Mets

Schwarber has hit two three home runs in his last five games. He has seven on the year and can test the Mets’ staff today.

Max Scherzer gave up three homers in his last start, which happened to be against these Phillies last Sunday in Philadelphia. Schwarber still has Scherzer in the front of his mind, so I don’t think this matchup is terribly one-sided.

Mike Zunino (TBD) - Tampa Bay Rays vs. Seattle Mariners

Whenever you bet on Mike Zunino, it's very much a "go big or go home" type of strategy.

The slugging catcher for the Rays have three home runs this year, but hitting just .143 with an OPS of only .504.

However, Mariners soft-tosser Marco Gonzales could be the ideal matchup for Zunino to leave the yard. He's slugging .556 vs. left-handers compared to right-handers, and two of his three home runs have come vs. southpaws in just 18 at-bats.

Gonzales has just 16 strikeouts through 20 innings pitched, giving up six home runs through five starts. If Zunino can get a hold of one, it's likely to leave the yard. -- Ben Heisler
