It's a full slate of games on the big league calendar for today, with eight matchups throughout the afternoon, and another seven later this evening.

That means we've got plenty of "Daily Dinger" home run candidates to choose from, and more opportunities to get in the win column, like Peter Dewey and Reed Wallach on Tuesday with Aaron Judge.

Here are our favorite home run prop bet picks for Wednesday, May 11.

Throughout the 2022 MLB season, the BetSided team of editors break down our favorite home run prop bet picks for the day in the "Daily DInger."

WynnBET Sportsbook provides home run prop bet odds for multiple players across every game, but not every batter listed in the article is always available. Best Home Run Prop Bet Picks for Wednesday, May 11

  • Christian Yelich (+370) - available at WynnBET
  • Pete Alonso (+350)
  • Eduardo Escobar (+500)
  • Jared Walsh (+480)
  • Matt Olson (+350)

Christian Yelich (+370) - Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cincinnati Reds

The Brewers left-handed slugger hasn't gone deep since May 5th, but did so against these same Reds on getaway day in Milwaukee, going 3 for 5 with a home run and a double to wrap up their series.

Prior to his massive day at the dish, Yelich wasn't getting many hits, but had drawn three walks in the two games prior. So far he has yet to get a hit in this current series in Cincinnati, but has drawn three walks in the last two games.

He gets right-hander Vladimir Gutierrez for Cincinnati who enters with an 8.86 ERA through his first five starts, giving up a HR/9 of 1.69.

Yelich has also been much better in day games this season through the first 30 games; with a .785 OPS compared to .728 at night. His isolated power (ISO) is also far superior vs. right-handers compared to left-handers.

Pete Alonso (+350) - New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals

I'm going with arguably the chalkiest and easiest pick of the night.

Pete Alonso has already hit seven home runs for the Mets this season, and now he gets to face Aaron Sanchez, who flat out stinks. Sanchez has an ERA of 8.56 this season, while giving up 1.3 home runs per nine innings. I need to get on the board tonight to catch up to my coworkers.

COME ON PETE! -- Iain MacMillan

Eduardo Escobar (+500) - New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals

Aaron Sanchez has struggled this season, and while his FIP is significantly lower than his ERA of 8.56, he has allowed a ton of home runs relative to his pitches in play.

Sanchez allows a homer on 15% of his fly balls and Escobar has been the best Met against southpaws this season, slugging to the tune of a team high .464; going deep once as well. -- Reed Wallach

Jared Walsh (+480) - Los Angeles Angels vs. Tampa Bay Rays

Walsh has been on a tear in the last week; hitting four homers in his last seven games. Even with his hot steak, his odds are still close to 5/1 to go yard.

Although five of his homers have come against righties – and Shane McClanahan is a lefty – Walsh has great value.

McClanahan isn’t going deep into his starts, so there will be time for Walsh to face someone else and get his dinger off. -- Donnavan Smoot

Matt Olson (+350) - Boston Red Sox vs. Atlanta Braves

There is one pitcher in baseball who has allowed more home runs than anyone else, and his name is Nathan Eovaldi.

Today, Eovaldi faces Matt Olson and the Atlanta Braves, and I think the lefty slugger is poised to take Eovaldi deep.

Olson has gotten off to a slower start in the home run department with just three through his first 31 games, but he’s hit .270 with 13 doubles so far this season. Given Eovaldi’s struggles with limiting the long ball, I think someone on Atlanta goes deep in this matchup. -- Peter Dewey
