Despite targeting two big winners in the L.A. Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies in Monday's "Daily Dinger" home run picks, the crew fell short to start the week.

L.A dropped 10 runs on the Nationals but failed to leave the yard. Meanwhile, the Phillies got seven on the board in Atlanta, but also did not leave any souvenirs for fans in the bleachers.

With a full 15-game evening slate, let's see if we can have another "Two for Tuesday" for the third straight week!

Throughout the 2022 MLB season, the BetSided team breaks down our best home run prop bet picks each day in the "Daily Dinger."

WynnBET Sportsbook provides home run prop bet odds for several players across each game, but not every batter listed in the article is always available. Bettors can still wager on these matchups, as well as bet on multiple unique prop bets offered for each game. For the latest up-to-date odds, visit WynnBET Sportsbook here.

Odds shown are consensus if they are not made available at WynnBET. If listed as TBD, it means odds have not been offered as of this writing.

Here are our top home run prop bet picks for Tuesday, May 24, 2022. You can always follow along all season with our "Daily Dinger" selections HERE.

Home Run Picks for Tuesday, May 24

  • Giancarlo Stanton (+240) - available at WynnBET
  • Jose Altuve (+345) - available at WynnBET
  • Shohei Ohtani (+335) - available at WynnBET
  • Daulton Varsho (+325) - available at WynnBET

Giancarlo Stanton (+240) - New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles

I don’t know why I went away from picking a New York Yankee to homer against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, but I won’t make the same mistake two days in a row.

Stanton has crushed Orioles starting Bruce Zimmerman in his career, tallying four hits, one homer and three RBIs in nine at bats.

The Yankees have dropped three straight, so I’m expecting a sense of urgency against Zimmerman, who has allowed four homers so far this season. -- Peter Dewey

Jose Altuve (+345) - Houston Astros vs. Cleveland Guardians

Sometimes, you just ride the hot hand.

Altuve has hit five of his nine homers over the last two weeks and now gets the struggling Zach Plesac on Tuesday night. Plesac has an ERA north of 5.00 and is allowing batters to tee off on him, allowing a bottom 20% of barrel rates on batted balls.

It's a perfect set up for another dinger from the second baseman. -- Reed Wallach

Shohei Ohtani (+335) - Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers

Ohtani is beginning to heat up at the plate.

He’s hit three home runs over his last eight games. Today, he’ll face the Rangers, who are a good matchup for any batter; giving up the fifth-most home runs per game (1.13).

Dane Dunning is on the mound for the Rangers today. His last start came against the Angels, and he allowed two home runs in his previous outing.

The Angels know how to hit Dunning, so there is little doubt for me that Ohtani can take advantage of this matchup. -- Donnavan Smoot

Daulton Varsho (+325) - Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Kansas City Royals

Varsho is en fuego.

The Diamondbacks swiss-army knife is hitting .323 over his last 31 AB's, and now tied for the team-lead in RBI with Christian Walker.

He's in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak, and while he has just one home run, he's consistently driving the ball and ranks in the 77th percentile, per MLB Statcast in barreling up the ball.

Tonight, the Royals trot out right-hander Jonathan Heasley, and Varsho's isolated power (ISO) of .238 ranks much better vs. righties than lefties this year.

Bet on Varsho, fo sho. -- Ben Heisler
