Thursday night came oh so close for another "Daily Dinger" hit, as Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager smoked several baseballs in their 9-8 loss to the Boston Red Sox last night, but failed to clear the fences.

Tonight, we're back to Fenway Park for a terrific opportunity to jump on Boston against left-hander Dallas Keuchel, who comes in with an ERA just under 9 for the season. Nope, that's not hyperbole.

Plus, we'll head to the Charm City for a play on tonight's Oakland Athletics - Baltimore Orioles matchup.

Here are our top home run prop bet plays for Friday, September 2.

Best Home Run Picks Today

Ryan Mountcastle - Baltimore Orioles vs. Oakland Athletics

Mountcastle just hit a home run last night, so why not back the hot hand?

It’s been a few months since he’s hit homers in consecutive games, but this isn’t a foreign concept to him. Left-hander J.P. Sears is on the mound against Mountcastle, and I’m expecting to see at least one ball fly out of the park tonight. Sears has given up a home run in his last two outings, pairing well with Mountcastle’s seven home runs against left-handed starters.

Sears has been solid all season, but his mistakes will be costly tonight.  – Donnavan Smoot

Xander Bogaerts - Boston Red Sox vs. Texas Rangers

The Red Sox shortstop is on another level right now at the dish right now, hitting .550 over his last five games along with two home runs to boot.

Perhaps the better part is the pitching matchup against left-hander Dallas Keuchel, now starting for his third team this season after getting sent down by both the Chicago White Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks earlier this year. In 13 starts, he has an ERA of 8.84. In his previous start for the Rangers he gave up seven runs in 5.1 innings against the Detroit Tigers, one of the worst offenses in baseball.

While Bogaerts already has terrific numbers vs. left-handed pitching, he's hitting the ball off anyone with an arm right now, so lock him up at a great price.
