After starting off the week red-hot, the BetSided team went 0-4 last night with our "Daily Dinger" picks to leave the yard.

However, with 13 games in total on the slate, including a double-dip in Cincinnati between the Pirates and Reds, there's plenty of candidate to choose from.

It's also worth pointing out that there are some horrendous pitchers going today, with seven starters sporting an ERA of 5 and above!

Here are our top candidates with all odds listed as consensus, or via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Don't forget, you can follow our team's competition for who will hit the most number of "Daily Dingers" all season long HERE.

Top Home Run Picks for Today

  • Oneil Cruz (+500)
  • Kyle Schwarber (+220)
  • Austin Riley (+255)
  • Christian Walker (+320)

Oneil Cruz (+500) - Pittsburgh Pirates at Cincinnati Reds (Game 1)

Cruz has gotten off to a hot start this season. He’s already hit three home runs in the 16 games he’s played in  – and all three have come in the last 10 games.

He’ll face Mike Minor today, which is a good matchup for any hitter. Minor has given up a homer in each one of his starts this season. He’s going to let the ball fly out and Cruz’s bat will take advantage of it. Cruz has had his most success making contact with the ball against left-handed hitters – which Minor is.

I expect Cruz to keep swinging and catch Minor today. -- Donnavan Smoot

Kyle Schwarber (+220) - Philadelphia Phillies vs. Washington Nationals

Nobody is more locked in at the dish right now than "The Great Schwarbino."

He's coming off two multi-home run games in their series vs. the Nationals, and now gets Joan Adon and his 1-11 record and 6.97 ERA late this afternoon.

The only thing stopping Schwarber from leaving Citizens' Bank Park tonight is if Washington simply doesn't throw to him. The odds are insanely low, but Schwarber is not someone you fade when he's in this kind of stretch.

In the month of July, Schwarber has a weighted on-base average (wOBA) of .546 (league average is .320) and a weighted runs created plus (wRC+) of 255 (league average is 100).

Remember last July, he put up almost similar numbers! The matchup is perfect for Schwarber to continue his Ryan Howard-like run today. -- Ben Heisler

Austin Riley (+255) - Atlanta Braves vs. St. Louis Cardinals

The Atlanta Braves will take on the St. Louis Cardinals and rookie left-hander Matthew Liberatore, who has allowed four homers in five starts this season.

Riley has been fantastic against lefties this year, slashing .296/.390/.654 with six homers in just 81 at bats. Liberatore has a 5.66 ERA for a reason, and I think Riley can help the Braves complete the sweep by going yard on Thursday. -- Peter Dewey

Christian Walker (+320) - Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Colorado Rockies

Walker is a boom or bust talent, but I'll bank on a boom tonight against Austin Gomber, who has an ERA north of 6.00 and allows more than 10 hits per 9 innings. Walker does damage against lefties, which Gomber is, hitting over .300 with a slugging percentage of .621.

At home in the hitter friendly Chase Field, I'll take the D-Backs slugger to go deep. -- Reed Wallach
