Et tu, Kansas City Royals? My hometown squad stabbed me in the back yesterday, falling to the lowly Oakland Athletics to blow our +1402 parlay.

I've learned my lesson and will resist any urge to back Kansas City moving forward. Or at least until I decide I should.

In either case, I'm ready to jump back into the fray today with a light nine-game MLB slate. After diving into the BetSided previews for each contest, there's a few matchups with value jumping to be part of the next great parlay. You hear that noise? The underdogs are barking today, baby!

Let's dive into my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day, using the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Guardians (+110) vs Twins

We saw this pitching matchup last week and the Guardians utilized a wild comeback to win 11-10. They've now lost four straight, so why would I back them at shorter odds?

Well, my friends, because they're at home. The Twins are 2-5 in their last seven as road favorites and rank 23rd in OPS over the last month on the road. Minnesota just isn't the same team away Target Field, and the Guardians are 4-2 in their last six as home underdogs.

Against the rest of the league this year, Sonny Gray has a 1.84 ERA. In two starts against Cleveland, Gray has a 5.63 ERA. Triston McKenzie, meanwhile, has a 2.76 ERA at Progressive Field and the Guardians have won three straight behind him. Cleveland is 8-2 on the run line in their last 10 as underdogs and I don't see them dropping five straight. Roll with the home 'dog.

Marlins (+116) vs Cardinals

The Cardinals have lost three of four and exhausted their bullpen yesterday after Jack Flaherty lasted just two innings. Adam Wainwright has struggled of late too, amassing a 4.68 ERA in June. His 4.24 expected ERA is nearly a full run worse than his actual ERA (3.32) and his MLB Statcast Pitching Profile suggests he's mediocre, at best:

Marlins' starter Pablo Lopez is far from mediocre, compiling a 2.61 ERA and coming off seven shutout innings against Colorado. Dating back to last season, Miami is 9-4 outright when Lopez pitches as an underdog. With the Cardinals' exhausted bullpen and a struggling Wainwright, I see value on Lopez once again.

Rangers -1.5 (+120) vs Royals

The Rangers are 9-1 in Martin Perez's last 10 starts as he's turned into the one of the best offseason acquisitions in MLB. He's allowed one or fewer runs in 10 of his last 12 outings and his 2.62 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) ranks seventh among all qualified pitchers.

Kris Bubic has been strong for the Royals since returning from the minors, but Texas mashes left-handed pitchers and Bubic's 6.02 expected ERA is still among the worst marks in MLB. The Royals are 3-14 in their last 17 as home underdogs, with 13 straight losses coming by multiple runs. Take the value on Perez and the Rangers to hand Kansas City another blowout loss.

Orioles (+137) vs Mariners/Under 7.5 (+100)

It feels weird even typing, but the Orioles may actually be good. They have the ninth-best run differential in MLB this month and are 9-4 in their last 13 games as underdogs.

Mariners' rookie George Kirby will get the media attention, and rightfully so after compiling a 2.17 ERA in his last five starts, but Tyler Wells has the lower expected ERA and opponent's batting average. Baltimore has won five straight behind him and he hasn't allowed more than three runs for 13 consecutive outings.

The under has hit in seven straight Orioles' games and is 9-3-1 in the Mariners' last 13. This should be a close contest, and I'll stick with the superior lineup and bullpen of Baltimore. I expect the Orioles to push Seattle to 3-8 in their last 11 as home favorites behind a stellar performance from Wells.

MLB Parlay for June 27, 2022

The "Et, Tu?" Parlay (+4630)

  • Guardians (+110) vs Twins
  • Marlins (+116) vs Cardinals
  • Rangers -1.5 (+120)
  • Orioles (+137) vs Mariners
  • Orioles vs Mariners Under 7.5 (+100)

It's glorious! This five-pick, underdog-heavy parlay with odds of +4630 pays out $1157.53 on a $25 bet.

Obviously, it's difficult to hit a parlay loaded with underdogs, so I'd proceed with caution and pick your favorites. My two favorite picks here are the Rangers and Orioles vs Mariners Under. Combining those in a parlay gives you odds of +340, or $85.00 on a $25 bet, which is still a lovely cash!

Whichever direction you choose at WynnBET, I wish you luck. Let's get after it!
