I've found Tuesday to be my least favorite day of the week. On Mondays, you're energized from a relaxing couple days off work. Wednesday is hump day, and Thursday might as well be the first day of the weekend.

Since today is the dreaded Tuesday, it's time for a smashing MLB parlay to reward ourselves. The BetSided team has previews for all 16 games on today's slate, but I've selected my favorite plays for a magnificent grouping.

Using the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day:

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Phillies (-116) vs Braves

Charlie Morton has pitched well this month for Atlanta, going seven innings in back-to-back starts, but it's time to fade him against the Phillies and Zack Wheeler.

Wheeler is a legitimate Cy Young candidate with a sensational 1.49 ERA at home. He's held his opponent to three runs or fewer in 10 consecutive starts and his 2.27 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) is the second-best in all of MLB.

Meanwhile, Morton has a 5.63 road ERA and got shelled for nine hits and four runs in just 4.1 innings against Philadelphia last month.

To make matters worse, the Braves just lost stud closer Kenley Jansen to injury, mitigating a potential bullpen advantage. The Phillies are 8-2 in their last 10 as home favorites while Atlanta is 2-6 in its last eight as road underdogs. Back the better pitcher at home at a short price.

Marlins (+134) vs Cardinals

The regression monster was always coming for Cardinals' righty Dakota Hudson, who dazzled to open the season despite discouraging underlying metrics. Whew, has that monster ever come with a vengeance.

Hudson has a 7.27 ERA over his last three starts, all losses, as he's struggled to limit hard contact and walks. His MLB Statcast Pitching Profile suggests his issues are likely to persist too:

Miami ranks 12th in OPS against right-handed pitchers over the last two weeks and should find success against the slumping Hudson.

St. Louis' lineup is hitting well but performs worse against left-handed pitchers and I've been impressed with Marlins rookie Braxton Garrett. With a 2.38 ERA over his last three starts, Garrett throws an impressive slider and curveball while showcasing solid command.

I'll keep fading Hudson and take the plus money on a pitcher that I'm looking to back moving forward.

Red Sox vs Blue Jays First Five Innings Under 5.0 (-115)

Fading these potent lineups requires bravery, but luckily both Michael Wacha and Ross Stripling inspire courage.

Stripling has been exceptional as a starter for the Blue Jays, compiling a 1.16 ERA this month while allowing just 15 hits over his last 23.1 innings. His 2.86 FIP proves his performance is no fluke, and he limited the Red Sox to one run over five innings back in April.

On the other end, Wacha just keeps humming. He has a 2.17 ERA in June and allowed three or fewer runs in 11 of his 12 starts.

The under is 6-1 in Boston's last seven as road underdogs and is 20-7-3 on the season when its a 'dog. Each bullpen scares me a bit, but I think both starters will keep the score low in the first five innings.

Orioles (+148) vs Mariners

Hey, maybe the Orioles actually are good? After last night's 9-2 drubbing of Seattle, Baltimore is now 8-3 in its last 11 as road underdogs and I'm happy to keep backing the O's at plus odds.

Dean Kremer has a 1.71 ERA in four starts after not allowing a single run in the minors this year and the Mariners lineup is really struggling, scoring two runs or fewer in 10 of their last 16.

Robbie Ray looks like the Ray of old again, going seven innings in three straight sterling starts. However, he has a 5.34 career ERA against Baltimore and the Orioles have the third-highest OPS against left-handed pitchers over the last three weeks.

The Orioles are suddenly one of the hottest teams in baseball, while Seattle is 3-8 in its last 11 as home favorites. Roll with Baltimore to keep chugging as underdogs.

MLB Parlay for June 28, 2022

The "Tuesday Pick-Me-Up" Parlay (+1920)

  • Phillies (-116) vs Braves
  • Marlins (+134) vs Cardinals
  • Red Sox vs Blue Jays First Five Innings Under 5.0 (-115)
  • Orioles (+148) vs Mariners

It's time to drown our Tuesday sorrows in some dollars. A $25 bet on this four-team parlay wins you $480.06. They say money doesn't buy happiness, but that's certainly enough joy to carry us through the week.

Be sure to check out the BetSided previews for each game today to make your own parlay over at WynnBET, but my favorite two plays here are the Phillies and Orioles. Combining those two gives you odds of +362, which is still a lovely cash indeed.

Best of luck as always. Let's get after it!
