After a lovely, relaxing day off yesterday, I'm thrilled to jump back into the fold with my favorite part of each day: an MLB parlay!

With 14 games scheduled, there's value oozing all over today's slate. I hope someone brought a bucket, because we're going to need a clean-up.

I've poured into the data and BetSided previews - it's time to collect some dollars.

Using odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day:

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Phillies (-177) vs Reds

It's always a good day to fade Mike Minor. The Cincinnati Reds' starter is my single favorite pitcher to bet against. Dating back to last season, his teams are 1-18 in his last 19 starts. He's got a 6.24 ERA this year and takes on a Philadelphia Phillies squad that's won five straight as road favorites.

Noah Syndergaard won both of his first two starts for the Phillies and surrendered three runs or fewer in five of his last six outings. Look, if you can outduel Sandy Alcantara, you can certainly outduel Minor.

Take the Phillies to improve to 14-4 in their last 18 contests.

Orioles (+138) vs Blue Jays

Yusei Kikuchi is close to Mike Minor on my list of "favorite pitchers to fade." He's so, so bad. The Baltimore Orioles just lit him up for five runs on three home runs in his last start, as his 5.97 expected ERA would easily be the worst in MLB if he had enough innings to qualify.

Take a look at Kikuchi's MLB Statcast Pitching Profile and try to tell me he should be a favorite:

The Orioles are hitting left-handed pitchers well and are 6-3 in Kyle Bradish's last nine starts. He's allowed three runs or fewer in three straight, while Baltimore has a huge edge in the bullpen.

Back Baltimore to improve to 9-4 in its last 13 games as an underdog while the Toronto Blue Jays fall to 1-5 in their last six as a favorite.

Athletics (+145) vs Rangers

This is perhaps my favorite play of the day, as the Oakland Athletics have a gigantic advantage on the mound with James Kaprielian taking on Glenn Otto and the Texas Rangers.

The Rangers are 1-8 in Otto's last nine starts. He's got an expected FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) above 6.72 in three of his last five starts, which is so terrible I had to double-check that the numbers were right. If you thought Kikuchi's MLB Statcast Pitching Profile was bad, wait until you see Otto's:

Not great! On the other hand, Kaprielian allowed three runs or fewer in nine consecutive starts and the Athletics are 6-2 in his last eight. That includes two wins over these Rangers, by the way.

Texas is 3-7 in its last 10 games as a favorite. Trust Kaprielian to lead the A's to victory once again.

MLB Parlay for August 15, 2022

The "It's Dripping Value" Parlay (+813)

  • Phillies (-177) vs Reds
  • Orioles (+138) vs Blue Jays
  • Athletics (+145) vs Rangers

Did you get a bucket yet? If not, go ahead and grab two. One for the value dripping off the slate and the other for all the dollars you're about to collect from WynnBET.

Odds of +813 pay out $203.13 on a $25 bet, and I think we've got a huge edge in each matchup. It's a good day to stack some cash, folks.

Best of luck as always - let's get after it!
