My favorite musical artist, a rapper named JID, releases an album on Friday called The Never Story and I couldn't be more thrilled. I can't wait to listen to it driving around, with my headphones on relaxing, and blaring on the speakers in my house dancing.

But, I'd really love to buy the record on vinyl as well. The only problem is that vinyl records are rather expensive these days. In order to justify the vanity purchase, cashing today's parlay would be a great way to go.

Pressure is on, but pressure makes diamonds. Using odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day.

This one's for you, JID.

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Rangers (-125) vs Rockies

Martín Pérez is enjoying a spectacular season for the Texas Rangers, compiling a 9-4 record with a 2.80 ERA. At worst, he gives the Rangers a tremendous advantage over José Ureña and the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies are 1-5 in Ureña's last six outings and his 5.58 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) is among the sport's worst marks.

Take a peak at Ureña's MLB Statcast Pitching Profile:

Not great! He's surrendered six home runs combined in his last three starts, the same number Pérez gave up since July 6. Back the Rangers to down Colorado thanks to a significant starting pitching edge.

Orioles (+106) vs White Sox

The Chicago White Sox have four straight losses as road favorites and take on a Baltimore Orioles club that's won five of six as home underdogs. With Lucas Giolito on the mound against Spenser Watkins, I love the value on Baltimore once again.

Giolito has a 7.39 ERA over his last six starts, while the Orioles have the sixth-best OPS against right-handed pitchers this month. Frankly, Baltimore should be favored here. Oddsmakers loss is our gain though, and the Orioles are a perfect addition to this parlay.

With Adley Rutschman in tow, the Orioles are legitimately one of MLB's best teams. They're 9-6 in Watkins' last 15 starts, and the White Sox are just 5-8 in Giolito's last 13. Roll with Baltimore to improve to 11-4 in its last 15 games as home underdogs.

Red Sox (+132) vs Blue Jays

What, you thought I'd leave off today's MLB Underdog of the Day? Never, silly goose. The ducks José Berríos is about to throw are quacking way too loud to ignore.

Berríos has a 6.82 road ERA alongside MLB's worst expected ERA (5.35). If you thought
Ureña's MLB Statcast Pitching Profile was bad, just wait until you see Berríos':

Oof. Brayan Bello returns to the Boston Red Sox rotation after compiling a 1.55 ERA in his last six minor league starts. He's a flame-thrower, and I expect him to take advantage of Toronto's road struggles.

There are few guarantees in life. That Berríos will be bad on the road is one of them. The Red Sox win as home 'dogs today.

Astros -1.5 (-105) vs Twins

Let's wrap up this vinyl-acquiring parlay with a fitting throwback to one of my favorite traditions: fading Dylan Bundy.

Bundy has a 5.83 road ERA and takes on a Houston Astros club that's won five straight games on the run line as home favorites. He's had an expected FIP above 4.26 in five of his last six starts, including four above 4.86. Houston's potent, patient lineup will continue Bundy's disastrous stretch.

Framber Valdez, meanwhile, is working on a franchise record 21st consecutive quality start. The Astros are 14-4 in his last 18 outings and should dismantle a struggling Minnesota Twins lineup.

Back Houston to push the Twins to 1-10 in their last 11 as road underdogs.

MLB Parlay for August 24, 2022

The "JID Vinyl Celebration" Parlay (+1580)

  • Rangers (-125) vs Rockies
  • Orioles (+106) vs White Sox
  • Red Sox (+132) vs Blue Jays
  • Astros -1.5 (-105) vs Twins

I bumped JID tracks the whole time I was writing this parlay, so it's destined for success. JID's real first name is Destin, so that right there was a perfect pun, if I do say so myself.

Odds of +1580 pay out $394.80 on a $25 bet over at WynnBET, which hopefully is enough to afford even the deluxe vinyl!

Time to have a day, folks! Best of luck, let's get after it.
