Best MLB Prop Bets Today
- Framber Valdez OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-125)
- Yu Darvish OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-135)
- Patrick Corbin OVER 4.5 strikeouts (+125) vs. Mets
Astros vs. Angels: Framber Valdez OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-125)
In the two games against the Angels last season, Valdez showed out. He had six strikeouts in each game and won both games. While he will have to face Mike Trout today, Valdez has a good history against the Angels. Valdez averaged just over six innings per start last season. If he can reach that, or even give the Astros seven good innings, this could be over quickly.

Padres vs. Diamondbacks: Yu Darivsh OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-135)
Yu Darvish will take the mound for the San Diego Padres on Opening Day against a Arizona Diamondbacks squad that is projected to finish dead last in the NL West this season.
Arizona struck at an average of 9.04 times per game last year, good for 22nd in MLB, and Darvish has a K’s prop of just 5.5 on Thursday.
The Padres ace hit the over on this in eight of his last 11 and four of his last five starts in the 2021 season. He also registered 28 strikeouts across four starts against the Diamondbacks last season, clearing this number in three of those games.
Give me the OVER on Thursday. -- Peter Dewey
Nationals vs. Mets: Patrick Corbin OVER 4.5 strikeouts (+125) vs. Mets
2021 was the year from hell for Patrick Corbin, but I like him to clear this small total for his strikeouts prop today against the Mets.
Last season, New York finished with the 11th highest strikeout percentage in all of MLB. They also finished in the bottom-five of baseball in home runs. That was Corbin's bugaboo last year; 37 dingers allowed in 31 appearances.
If Corbin can avoid big mistakes, he'll go deep into this game. With weather in favor of the pitcher in D.C. this evening (52 degrees with the wind blowing in at 8-12 mph), he should take advantage, and at very favorable odds as well. -- Ben Heisler
