On a jam-packed 13-game slate Monday evening, our team is targeting several overs for strikeout props in Miami, Baltimore and Milwaukee, while out in New York, there's value on a first five inning run total that may be overlooked.

Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

  • MLB Best Prop Bets Record: 54-52-0

Here are the BetSided team's favorite props for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET and consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Sandy Alcantara OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+110)
  • Luis Severino OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+115)
  • Freddy Peralta OVER 7.5 Strikeouts (+120)
  • STL @ NYM First Five Innings UNDER 4.5 (-135)

Sandy Alcantara OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+110) - Washington Nationals at Miami Marlins

Washington may be bottom 5 in strikeout rate, but I can't pass up a budding star in Alcantara to have a pedestrian outing for his standards at plus-money.

Alcantara's struck out six batters in three of seven outings and has five in another three. The Nationals don't draw a ton of walks either, giving Alcantara the opportunity to put together a long outing, maximizing his chances to clear the total. -- Reed Wallach

Luis Severino OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+115) - New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles

Luis Severino is having a solid season for the New York Yankees, especially in terms of advanced metrics.

He takes on a Baltimore Orioles team that is third-worst team in terms of strikeouts per game on Monday. Severino is punching out just over one batter per inning this season (31 in 28.2 innings) and comes off an eight-strikeout game in his last outing.

Severino is in the 66th percentile in strikeout percentage, and his fastball velocity has been fantastic this season. His whiff rate isn’t as high as you’d like, but I love the value at +115 on this prop. -- Peter Dewey

Freddy Peralta OVER 7.5 Strikeouts (+120) - Milwaukee Brewers vs. Atlanta Braves

This bet is pretty straight forward. No team strikes out at a higher percentage than the Atlanta Braves this season. They are striking out on 25.9% of their plat appearances, and 32.2% of their plate appearances over their last three games.

That's pretty terrible.

Freddy Peralta is once again having a dominant year when it comes to striking out opposing batters. He's averaging 11.9 Ks per nine innings, and he's coming off an eight strikeout performance against the Reds last week.

I think he hits the over on his total tonight. -- Iain MacMillan

First Five Innings UNDER 4.5 (-135) - St. Cardinals at New York Mets

Both starting pitchers in tonight's matchup have been surprisingly solid, but you have to dig a little past the traditional numbers when it comes to Trevor Williams of the Mets.

The 30-year old right hander is 0-2 with an ERA of 5.73 this season, but he's mostly been used in long relief. The ERA is high, but via Fangraphs, Williams' expected ERA (xERA) actually comes in at 3.24 with a fielder independent pitching (FIP) of 3.20. He's been unlucky, and the numbers indicate that there's a sizable correction coming.

Meanwhile, Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas has yet to allow more than two runs in a start this season through six games.

I've already bet the under 8 runs, so taking the under 4.5 through the first five innings is a no-brainer. -- Ben Heisler
