The Sunday BetSided crew went 1-1 in our best MLB Prop bets on getaway day, hitting with the under 7.5 in Dylan Cease strikeouts at home vs. the Guardians, while in the same game, missing on the UNDER 3.5 for the first five innings.

This Monday, we're looking at three very different kinds of props. One focusing on a traditional pitcher strikeout total, another on a hitter's projected total bases at home, and the last involving a West Coast game total prop through the first five innings.

You can also find game-by-game betting plays and previews for every matchup on our MLB Picks page, as well as each team's probable pitchersweather reports and totals for the day's slate and more.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Trevor Rogers OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-140)
  • Rougned Odor OVER 1.5 Total Bases (-145)
  • Nick Pivetta UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-145)
  • Rangers-Mariners First 5 Innings UNDER 4.5 (-120)

Trevor Rogers OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-140) - Miami Marlins at Cincinnati Reds

Rogers looks better in recent starts, throwing six innings for just the second time all season last week and clearing this prop in four of his last six outings. He's increased his slider usage a bit lately to great results. Only one Cincinnati regular has a whiff rate against sliders under 30%, so I expect that pitch to give us some strikeouts today. The Reds average the fourth-most strikeouts per game at home.

As long as Rogers avoids an early blow-up inning, I expect him to clear this number relatively easily. -- Joe Summers

Rougned Odor OVER 1.5 Total Bases (-145) - Baltimore Orioles vs. Tampa Bay Rays

To quote Jack Nicholson in The Departed, "DON'T LAUGH! THIS AIN'T REALITY TV!"

Yes, I'm well aware of Odor's struggles this season, but sometimes a child just needs their binky to feel comfortable again, and over their careers, the 36-year old pitcher has been the equivalent to Odor at the plate.

In 18 at-bats, Odor has eight hits against Kluber, with three home runs and two doubles. He's also only struck out twice, so for a free-swinging player, the ball has looked "beach-ball-big."

Sometimes, a golfer goes back to their favorite course after struggling on Tour and shoots lights out for a round. I envision a similar scenario for Odor tonight. -- Ben Heisler

Nick Pivetta UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-145) - Boston Red Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians

Not only do the Guardians have the lowest strikeout percentage in Major League Baseball at 18.5%, but Nick Pivetta has struggled mightily in recent starts and might not even be in the game long enough for him to sniff this total.

He's allowed at least six earned runs in each of his last three starts, and hasn't reached the sixth inning in the entire month of July.

That's a good recipe if you're looking to bet on an under for a strikeout prop, so that's the one I'm backing tonight. -- Iain MacMillan

First 5 Innings UNDER 4.5 (-120) - Texas Rangers at Seattle Mariners

Texas Rangers starter Glenn Otto has a ghastly 7.39 ERA in seven home starts in 2022, however those numbers do a complete flip on the road.

Otto has made six road starts in 2022, posting a 3.30 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and holding opponents to just a .298 slugging percentage.

His counterpart on Monday, Chris Flexen has been solid as of late, with the team winning his last five starts. He has allowed three or fewer earned runs in 10 straight starts.

I think these two starters keep this game close early, especially with the Seattle offense coming back to earth over the weekend. -- Peter Dewey
