Blake Griffin OVER 8.5 Points (-120)
Blake Griffin has been playing more during the Nets current road trip, averaging 25.3 minutes per game, which is just under three minutes more than his season average (22.7). He's also scored in double digits in two of those three games, going for 13 and 14 to start the trip before floundering with two in the most recent game.
He's shooting terribly from deep this year (23.7%) but is still averaging over four attempts during this road trip. In what should be a blowout against a bad Magic team, I expect Griffin to put up double-digit points and play extended minutes. -- Brian Giuffra
Jalen Green OVER 13.5 Points (-120)
If there’s one thing we’ve seen from Jalen Green is that he never backs down from a challenge. With the No. 1 pick coming into town tonight, he is definitely going to get shots up at volume.
Green averages 13.6 points per game and has cleared the 13.5 point mark in two of his last four games. His biggest issue is that he has not been able to be efficient, lending his point total projection to be a boom or bust. I’ll side with boom tonight and take the over. -- Donnavan Smoot
Scottie Barnes OVER 7 Rebounds (-115)
Scottie Barnes has gotten off to a hot start to his NBA career, and he's the Raptors leading rebounder through his first nine games. He's averaging 8.7 boards per game, but WynnBET has his rebounding total set at just seven for tonight's game against the Celtics.
Meanwhile, Boston is one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA. The Celtics currently rank 29th in rebounding percentage, grabbing just 47.5% of boards heading into tonight's matchup.
With the number set at seven, we also have the possibility of the bet pushing if Barnes doesn't quite hit eight. -- Iain MacMillan
RJ Barrett OVER 16.5 Points (-105)
I’m going back to the well even though I was burned on this prop earlier in the week when Barrett scored 15 points in a win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Barrett is averaging 17.6 points per game and has averaged 18.5 field goal attempts over his past four games. He took 21 shots and scored 20 points in the win over the Milwaukee Bucks last week, and I think he’s in line for a bounce-back game after shooting just 9-for-33 over his last two contests.
The volume is there, and Barrett had been on a tear prior to two poor shooting performances. I’m buying low on him tonight. -- Peter Dewey
Cade Cunningham UNDER 15.5 PTS (+100)
I know, I know, it’s Cade Cunningham’s first hyped matchup of the season as the 1-8 Pistons face the 1-9 Rockets as the two top draft picks match up. Rather than stroll down narrative street, I’ll fade this number and take it with superior odds at WynnBET at even money.
Cunningham has scored above the projection in their last two games, but he’s also jacked up 17 shot attempts and is scoring at less than a 30% clip.
While Houston presents a more favorable matchup than Brooklyn and Philadelphia, I’d anticipate more balance in scoring for the Pistons tonight. With both teams desperately needing a win, I think you’ll see more deferring to Jerami Grant and Saddiq Bey, with Cunningham in more of a facilitating role to get those guys going offensively. -- Ben Heisler
