Best NBA Prop Bets Today
- Ja Morant UNDER 8.5 Assists (-115)
- Bobby Portis OVER 13.5 Points (-115)
Ja Morant UNDER 8.5 Assists (-115)
The Memphis Grizzlies got away with a lot in their opening round against the Minnesota Timberwolves; coming back down double digits late in several games of their first round series.
Suffice to say the Golden State Warriors will not be as kind.
Ja Morant has become more of a distributor throughout the postseason, but the Warriors' defense continues to be underestimated. Bettors fall in love with their offensive numbers and forget that Golden State finished second behind the Boston Celtics in defensive rating this year.
The Warriors plan to make Morant as uncomfortable as possible in this series, and while he's gone into double digit assists in four of his last five games, I expect him to struggle with Golden State's playoff defense, forcing more half court sets from Memphis and limiting dimes in transition. 8.5 feels a tad too high to me. -- Ben Heisler
Bobby Portis OVER 13.5 Points (-115)
This prop has been a go to when betting on the Bucks, especially with Middelton out of the lineup.
Bobby Portis has thrived with Middelton out, averaging 14.7 points on 12.9 field goal attempts per game.
He’s also averaging 15.5 points per game as a starter this season while taking 12.5 shots per game. As a reserve, he’s averaging just 10.4 points per game on 10.4 shots. The Bucks need Portis to pick up a bigger scoring load, and he should have some decent looks with Giannis Antetokounmpo commanding a lot of the attention from Boston.
Portis has scored 18, 14 and 14 points in the three games since Middleton was injured, and I expect him to go over 13.5 points again on Sunday. – Peter Dewey
