Steph Curry UNDER 30.5 Points (-115)

Curry led the NBA in scoring last season, and oddsmakers haven’t adjusted his lines this year to reflect a slower start in the scoring department (25.8 points per game).

The two-time MVP has gone over 30 points just twice this season and has failed to reach 20 points in back-to-back games coming into Sunday. It’s hard to fade Curry because of his ability to get red hot at any moment, but I think this line is a bit inflated against a Rockets team that has the 15th-best defensive rating in the NBA.

Not only that, but Golden State is a 12.5-point favorite, and a blowout would likely allow Curry more rest in the second half. Give me the under on this, as Curry can still have a good game and go below 30.5 points. -- Peter Dewey

There's a lot of reasons to like the UNDER on Steph Curry's point total tonight against the lowly Houston Rockets. The most obvious is that Curry has only been averaging 25.8 points per game through his first eight games, five whole points lower than the given total for 30.5.

Secondly, with the Warriors being set as massive 12.5-point favorites, there's a chance that this game will be a blowout, and if it is, Curry won't see the floor late in the game. I've lost enough OVERs on player props for this reason, maybe I can win an UNDER bet this way.

Finally, the Rockets have one of the best perimeter defenses in the NBA. They rank sixth in opponent 3pt FG% at 32.3% so if they can limit Curry's deep ball, there's a good chance he scores less than 30 points. -- Iain MacMillan

James Harden UNDER 20.5 Points (-125)

James Harden isn't the same James Harden you're used to. He doesn't drive the ball anymore. He doesn't get to the free-throw line. He's basically become a 3-point shooter only. So this comes down to whether you think he gets hot from 3 and scores enough from there to get past this number. I'll say no.

The Raptors give up only 11.5 3s on average per game, ninth in the NBA. Harden is taking 7.6 3s per game and only 13.6 field goals overall. He's averaging 4.7 free throw attempts per game, the lowest since his second year in the league. Give me the under here. -- Brian Giuffra
