Best NBA Prop Bets Today
- Kevin Durant OVER 29.5 Points (-115)
- Evan Mobley to Record a Double Double (+130)
- Bruce Brown OVER 9.5 Points (+100)
Nets vs. Pelicans: Kevin Durant OVER 29.5 Points (-115)
Kevin Durant might be the best basketball player on the planet and he’s certainly the best scorer in the NBA right now. Durant is averaging 29.5 points per game on an insane 58.5% from the field. He’s scored at least 30 in three of his last four games and has a great chance to do it again tonight against the Pelicans. New Orleans has the worst defensive rating in the league and doesn’t have a single person that can make life tough on Durant. If he’s locked in like he’s been this season, expect another easy 30 points for Durant. -- Donnavan Smoot
Pistons vs. Cavaliers: Evan Mobley to Record a Double Double (+130)
The Cleveland Cavaliers rookie forward has already proven to be a big piece for the Cavaliers to build around and has done a decent job of putting the ball in the basket and grabbing rebounds.
Mobley is averaging 15.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, and tonight will be facing a Detroit Pistons team that continuously gets beat on the boards, sitting near the bottom of the NBA in rebound rate. That should be a good sign for Mobley to grab some rebounds.
The Cavs will be without forwards Lauri Markkanen and Kevin Love once again and Mobley should see a decent amount of action. Mobley was on the court for only 26 minutes in Cleveland’s last game against the Wizards, and after his last two appearances with less than 30 minutes played, Mobley followed up with ample playing time and a double-double.
He continues that trend tonight at a great +130 value. -- Thomas Snodgrass
Nets vs. Pelicans: Bruce Brown OVER 9.5 Points (+100)
In the 10 games he's played more than 20 minutes, Brown has scored eight or more points in eight of them. Playing a pseudo-center on offense, Brown's role is unique and should be able to find holes in the Pelicans porous defense that is second to last in defensive rating.
He is an iffy three-point shooter, but he's taking nearly two a game as he develops into a more complete player, if he cans one we are business.
As the Nets look to roll another inferior opponent, look for James Harden to drive to the rim with more force, setting up the little big man for easy layups. I like the cheap price on the over to reach double digits, which is where he typically hangs around. -- Reed Wallach
