Thursday is jam-packed with MLB betting action for us to tackle from a bunch of different angles. One we have been a fan of lately is the No Run First Inning (NRFI) and Yes Run First Inning (YRFI) bets. With that in mind, let's take a look at a couple of games that have value on these props as I see them. All odds used were provided by WynnBET Sportsbook.

Best NRFI and YRFI Bets for Thursday, June 2

Atlanta Braves vs. Colorado Rockies YRFI (-120)

I already talked about this game briefly when I took the OVER as part of my three-game parlay for Thursday. If these two teams are going to combine to score 11 runs, they are going to have to start early.

Luckily, as we learned yesterday, the Rockies are 29-19 in runs being scored in the first inning of their games. That makes them the most profitable team to bet on in these situations. The fact that this game is at Coors Field and features two questionable pitchers goes a long way to making this my call for YRFI today. And while the Braves are not on that list, they have seen the first-inning run in four straight games.

New York Mets vs. Los Angeles Dodgers NRFI (+100)

This is a bit riskier of a bet than the last game I think. Despite having some quality pitching on both sides, the Dodgers and Mets are very good offensive teams. The Mets actually rank third in the MLB in YRFI at 29-21.

But, Tony Gonsolin should limit the damage the Mets can do early in this matchup of NL leaders. Gonsolin hasn’t allowed a first-inning run in his last eight starts and only once this year have opponents scored on him in the opening frame. Taijuan Walker has gone four straight without giving up a run in the first inning. Both guys are undefeated and I think we could see a very slow first couple of innings at the plate.
