Peter's Primetime Parlay for Suns vs. Nuggets
By Peter Dewey
Chris Paul is back… and so is Peter’s Primetime Parlay, as I’ve got a four-pick parlay for the Phoenix Suns-Denver Nuggets matchup on Thursday night.
I already wrote about how the Suns are a great underdog bet in this spot, but how are we going to play this game?
Here are my picks with all odds via WynnBET:
Best NBA Parlay Picks for Suns vs. Nuggets (+225 Odds)
- Devin Booker 30+ Points, Rebounds, Assists
- Jae Crowder 1+ 3-Pointers Made
- Nikola Jokic 20+ Points
- Suns Moneyline
Devin Booker 30+ Points, Rebounds, Assists
Devin Booker has been dominant over his last 14 games, clearing this line in all 14 matchups and averaging 27.6 points (on 50 percent from the field), 4.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists over that stretch.
I think there is a little value on this pick, even with CP3 returning, as Booker could clear this one on points alone. He’s dropped 30-plus in five of those 14 games. I think Paul sets him up for plenty of easy looks tonight.
Jae Crowder 1+ 3-Pointers Made
Jae Crowder has knocked down a 3-pointer in 17 consecutive games, and I think he does it again tonight against Denver.
Crowder is averaging over 5.0 attempts from deep over that stretch and he’s shooting 34.3 percent from 3 on the season. Paul’s return is going to make things easier on everyone in the Phoenix offense, so I expect Crowder to keep the streak alive tonight.
Nikola Jokic 20+ Points
I’m not completely fading the Nuggets here, as Nikola Jokic is going to get his. The MVP candidate has cleared 20 points in 11 straight games, and I think he may be able to take advantage of Phoenix’s defense since it is on a back-to-back.
However, I don’t see the Joker leading Denver to a win…
Suns Moneyline
… Because we’re taking the Suns to win this thing outright!
Phoenix is 9-3 on back-to-backs this season, the best record in the NBA, and it is facing a Denver team that is just 12-16 against the spread as a home favorite this season.
I’m not a huge fan of Denver’s current form coming into this game, as the Nuggets have lost two of their last three games and have really slipped defensively after a strong start post-All-Star break.
The Nuggets are No. 16 in the league in defensive rating over their last 10 games, and they are ninth in offensive rating, which are usually solid numbers. That is, unless you are playing a top-10 team in both categories like they are on Thursday.
Phoenix is sixth in offensive rating, sixth in defensive rating and third in net rating (plus-10.2) over their last 10 matchups.
I think the Suns are undervalued as an underdog in CP3’s return.
