Best Prop Bets for Packers vs. Eagles in Week 12 (Trust Both Teams to Have Success on Ground)
By Reed Wallach
The Pacers travel to Philadelphia to face the No. 1 seed in the NFC in the Eagles.
Green Bay's season is on life support at 4-7 as they face the vaunted Eagles, who are 9-1 on the year and looking to stay atop the NFC. While you can check out our game preview here, make sure to keep reading for our prop bet insights between two teams with potential to attack the opposing defense on the ground with the likes of Aaron Jones of the Packers and Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Best NFL Prop Bets for Packers vs. Eagles
- Aaron Jones OVER 57.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
- Allen Lazard to Score a Touchdown (+220)
- Jalen Hurts to Score a Touchdown (+100)
Aaron Jones OVER 57.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
Jones has been hit or miss of late, rushing for over 100 yards twice in the past four games, but going under this prop total in the other one. However, this matchup sets up favorably against an Eagles team that is weak at stopping the run, 14th in success rate on the year.
With Aaron Rodgers nursing a thumb injury, I expect Matt LaFleur to try and establish early and often with Jones, who is sixth in rushing this season.
Allen Lazard to Score a Touchdown (+220)
While Christian Watson has grabbed five touchdowns over the last two weeks, I'll back Lazard, who had 11 targets in the team's loss to the Tennessee Titans last week on Thursday Night Football.
Lazard is the veteran target of this Packers pass game and Rodgers still looks his way plenty when he is on the field. In nine games this season, Lazard has had eight or more targets in five of them and double digit targets in two of them.
He has five touchdown grabs on the year, and I'll bank on him to grab his sixth at long ohdds.
Jalen Hurts to Score a Touchdown (+100)
Hurts is always a threat with his legs, especially around the goal line, where he is a good bet to keep it himself, evident with his eight rushing touchdowns on the year.
It's not some long odds prop, but Hurts is the go to threat in close and I expect the Eagles offense to try and key in on the Packers rush defense that has floundered all season, bottom half of hte league in both EPA/Rush and success rate on the ground.
