We are now in the swing of the group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The first four-game slate took place yesterday and will continue to showcase the action all morning and early afternoon long here in North America. With a full day of soccer/football means a full day of bets to make.

Yesterday started with Argentina getting upset by Saudi Arabia at 5 a.m. ET. We have similar matchups today -- in terms of tournament favorites facing off against the "worst" teams in their group. Will any of the other major squads lose in their opener?

On Monday, our best bets article went a perfect 4-0, so let's stay hot as the group stage continues on. So far since the start of the Group Stage.

World Cup Betting Record

Let's go through all four matchups on the board, beginning at 5 a.m. ET, break down our best bets, and provide the best available odds updating in real-time for each match on the slate.

Croatia vs. Morocco Odds, Prediction and Pick

We’ve already seen many of the underdogs punch above their weight class and make the opening games of the World Cup closer than expected. Morocco has the capacity to do that in the first game of the day.

The player that can carry Morocco is Youssef En-Nesyri. He scored one of the two goals Morocco scored in the last World Cup and has the best odds to lead the team in scoring.

Croatia should win today and play better, but don’t be shocked if the Moroccans make Croatia sweat.

Pick: Youssef En-Nesyri Anytime Goal Scorer (+400)

Japan vs. Germany Odds, Prediction and Pick

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Germany is a much better team than Japan and should win handily. However, we’re going to go to the total in this game.

This game could either end in a 4-0 Germany win or in a 2-1 match that comes down to the 85th minute. Either way, three goals are being scored.

If the Japanese can withstand the early pressure Germany puts on them, it will likely be more of the 2-1 game than the former.

Pick: OVER 2.5 Goals

Spain vs. Costa Rica Odds, Prediction and Pick

Costa Rica had an incredible run to the quarterfinals in 2014, but then came back down to earth in 2018 – failing to make it out of the group stage.

Spain has consistently handled its business in the group stage. It’s made it to the knockout round in four of the last five World Cups.

We’ll be aggressive with the OVER/UNDER and take over 2.5 goals with a Spain masterclass.

Pick: Over 2.5 goals (-160)

Belgium vs. Canada Odds, Prediction and Pick

The game of the day is the final match of the day. Belgium is a massive favorite against a youthful Canada. The Belgians are at the end of this current iteration of the squad, but they simply are more talented. With Kevin De Bruyne in the midfield directing the entire offense – and a Canadian team that isn’t stout defensively, the Belgians can run away with this game.

Canada has only lost by more than a goal once this year. However, that loss was to Uruguay and was the lone team outside of CONCACAF. Canada has dominated against North America, but will face the best team on its schedule all year long. It won’t be a pretty debut for them.

Pick: Belgium -1 (-104)
