Bet These 3 Prop Bets for Packers vs. 49ers
By Reed Wallach
Sunday Night Football features a rematch from the 2019 NFC Championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers.
Get ready for this showdown with our game preview, but also keep reading for three prop bets to play, with odds courtesy of WynnBET.
Deebo Samuel Over 67.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Samuel has been fantastic through two games, with receiving yard totals of 189 and 93 yards.
Now, he will face a soft Green Bay defense that is bottom ten in defensive pass success rate this season. Samuel is the No. 1 option in the San Fran passing game with 20 targets so far this season.
With the ball always going his way, I'm expecting him to clear this total with ease.
Aaron Rodgers Under 39.5 Pass Attempts (-130)
Rodgers has attempt totals of 28 and 27 through the first two weeks. Sure, the game script may have held this number down, but this number is still inflated.
Rodgers had 40 pass attempts just twice last season and I'm expecting the 49ers to establish the run and maintain possession, keeping Rodgers off the field.
This is purely a numbers play as the Green Bay offense is much more democratic than one would think.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling UNDER 35.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Valdez-Scnatling has three catches on 12 targets this season for 17 yards.
To be fair, he is Rodgers' deep ball threat and is a boom-or-bust type of receiver. Last season he averaged nearly 21 yards per reception, so this is a bit of a dart, but I expect the Packers offensive line issues to be a talking point of this game, limiting Rodgers time in the pocket and ability to go deep.
The Niners are right around league average in explosive pass defense this season, and allow the 11th-lowest average depth of target. I'm not expecting MVS to get that deep ball to cash this over.
