The Dallas Cowboys are going to have the overwhelming difficult task of knocking off the defending champs at home on their ring ceremony night. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are an eight-point favorite against the spread, one of many bets in which the Bucs have the edge.

While Dallas doesn’t match up well on paper against the entirety of Tampa Bay’s roster, the one place it has a chance is at quarterback. Dak Prescott can go toe-to-toe with Tom Brady, yet WynnBET thinks Brady will strike first on Thursday.

WynnBET has released a prop bet surrounding who will throw the first touchdown pass in Thursday’s game, and Tom Brady is the favorite. Brady is -135, while Prescott is +115 (meaning a $100 bet on Prescott will profit $115).

While I hate supporting Brady, he’s going to get the nod from me on this prop. The juice at -135 is high, but I would still take it. Even if the Cowboys get the ball first, I have more faith in the Buccaneers defense to stop Prescott and his offense than I have in the Cowboys defense to stop Brady and his.

Tampa Bay was dominant in the Super Bowl. It shut down Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, which certainly gives me faith in it against the Cowboys. Also, the same team that we saw hoist the Lombardi Trophy, is the same one we’ll see on Thursday night. The Buccaneers brought back all 22 of their starters and all of their position coordinators in order to truly “run it back.”

Prescott and the Cowboys are expecting to have one of the most potent offenses in the league, but they will have to prove that everyone is back and on the same page before they get me to buy-in.
