Fresh off a win against the undermanned Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, the Milwaukee Bucks will head to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks. 

The Knicks also played the Sixers in their last game, winning on Monday to move to 7-4 on the season. New York and Julius Randle took the first matchup this season against Milwaukee last Friday with a come-from-behind victory.

The Knicks have some disappointing losses so far this season, but they have shown up against expected playoff teams, going 5-0 against the Sixers, Bucks, Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls this season. 

With Middleton out, the Bucks are already a little thin and coming into this matchup in the second game of a back-to-back. Philly hung around enough on Tuesday for Giannis Antetokounmpo to play 36 minutes, so maybe Mike Budenholzer will cut back on some playing time against a stingy Knicks squad. 

Neither of these teams have been great defensively this season (New York is 25th in defensive rating, Milwaukee is 18th), and I think that favors the Knicks, who are fourth in offensive rating and hit the fifth-most 3-pointers per game in the NBA. 

I’ll back New York at home at -3.0, but there’s a way to win no matter what in this contest.
