Cade Cunningham Takes Over as Rookie of the Year Favorite After Jalen Green Injury

Cade Cunningham is back… at the top of the odds list to win NBA Rookie of the Year. 

It’s been a strange start to the 2021-22 season, with the top four contenders for the award all missing time to injury. Cunningham, Scottie Barnes, Evan Mobley and most recently Jalen Green have been on the injury report, but Cunningham has found his way back to the top. 

Cunningham has struggled with efficiency, but he is averaging 12.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game even though he’s shooting just 33.2 percent from the field.
