The Kansas City Chiefs are major favorites in Week 5 against the Las Vegas Raiders, and it may be due to the fact that they are once again in primetime for the world to see.

The Chiefs play their third primetime game of the season in Week 5 on Monday Night Football, and Kansas City has won six straight games under the lights with head coach Andy Reid at the helm.

To make matters worse for the Raiders and head coach Josh McDaniels, the Chiefs have put up at least 32 points in their last five games against the Raiders. They have three games where they scored 40-plus points, and they've won four of the last five meetings.

When you couple that with Patrick Mahomes in primetime, you're going to get something special. Mahomes has won 15 of his last 17 games under the bright lights, throwing for 38 scores in those matchups.

My goodness.

I personally hope there's a chance we can get the Chiefs at -7, or even -6.5 in this game, but given the way the Raiders have started the 2022 season, this seems like a perfect spot for Mahomes and company.

In his career against the Raiders (eight games), Mahomes has posted a passer rating of 112.4 with 2,546 yards, 22 touchdowns and just three picks, per Statmuse. This season, Vegas ranks 21st in opponent yards per play and 23rd in points allowed. That simply isn't going to cut it against the Mahomes-Reid combination.
