Monday Night Football in Week 5 brings us an AFC West showdown, as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Las Vegas Raiders

Vegas, fresh off its first win of the season in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos, is looking to snap the Chiefs’ six-game winning streak in primetime games. Kansas City dismantled the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4 on Sunday Night Football, scoring 41 points in an easy win.

Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid continue to show that this offense doesn’t need Tyreek Hill to succeed, and the Chiefs currently sit alone atop the AFC West standings.

Does Josh McDaniels’ squad pick a statement win on the road, or do the Chiefs keep rolling?

Let’s jump into the odds for this Monday Night Football matchup:

Raiders vs. Chiefs Odds, Spread and Total

Chiefs vs. Raiders Betting Trends

  • The Chiefs have won six straight primetime games
  • Kansas City is 2-2 against the spread this season
  • The Raiders are 1-3 against the spread this season
  • The Chiefs are 35-40-2 ATS as home favorites under Andy Reid
  • The OVER is 2-1-1 in Vegas’ four games this season

Raiders vs. Chiefs Prediction and Pick

This is a game that I will likely wait to bet until later in the week, as the Chiefs are just over a touchdown favorite on Tuesday.

Still, Kansas City’s offense has been humming this season, scoring 27 or more points in each of its wins, and clearing 40 points twice.

That’s going to spell trouble for a Vegas team that ranks 21st in the NFL in yards per play allowed and 23rd in points allowed this season. However, the Vegas offense finally got going in Week 4, as Josh Jacobs ran for 144 yards in the win over Denver.

The Chiefs currently have a top-10 defense, but the last four games between these two teams have gone OVER this number. Kansas City has also scored 32 or more points in five straight games against this Raiders team.

I expect K.C.’s offense to stay humming and will lean with the OVER in this game.
