Wake Forest (+120) Upsets North Carolina

Wake Forest has the third-best offense in the country, averaging close to 44.0 points per game. North Carolina gives up over 30 points per game and hasn’t been able to string solid performances together all year. The Demon Deacons just destroyed Duke last week and survived a shootout with Army two weeks ago. I don’t think North Carolina will be able to stop Wake Forest’s offense in any scenario, which makes me side with the Demon Deacons. -- Donnavan Smoot

Memphis (+175) Upsets SMU

I think Memphis is going to be able to keep this one close and it comes down to each team’s secondary.

Both teams like to throw the ball a ton, they rank 30th and 32nd in passing play percentage, and both teams get over 65% of their offensive yards through the air.

But on the defensive side of the football, Memphis ranks 44th in the country in opponent yards per pass attempt and SMU 116th. The Mustangs are allowing an average of nine yards per pass attempt. That’s not a good recipe when you’re about to play a pass-heavy offense like Memphis.

The Tigers keep it close, give me Memphis +6 this weekend. -- Iain MacMillan

Auburn (+160) Upsets Texas A&M

Bo Nix and the Auburn Tigers are riding high off a win over Ole Miss last week and now they will face a Texas A&M team that has had a rollercoaster season without quarterback Haynes King.

However, Auburn is 2-1 as an away dog this season, and I think they have some momentum building heading to College Station. Texas A&M’s defense is legit (11th in opponent yards per play), but it lags behind offensively (43rd in the same statistic and 52nd in third down conversion rate).

If the Auburn ground game (5.0 yards per carry) gets going, I think the Tigers can pull off the upset. -- Peter Dewey

Boston College (+135) Upsets Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech scored a win last snapping a three game skid, but is still not worthy of being a road favorite against a similarly rated school team in Boston College.

The Hokies still struggle to stop the run, they allowed more than six yards per carry last week to Georgia Tech in the win and are outside the top 120 in explosive rush defense. If BC is able to establish the run that can open up the passing game that has struggled of late with Dennis Grosel. I think the home team is undervalued here and I'm in no rush to get back on the Va Tech bandwagon. -- Reed Wallach

Army (+120) Upsets Air Force

Army should have starting QB Christian Anderson available this week against the Falcons, which could be indicative of why the line has been moving towards the Black Knights all week.

Personally, I'm buying on Army's offense. They're efficient, tactical, and can control time of possession; averaging 312.3 yards rushing which is second-best in college football. Air Force's defense is solid, but when I see a total of 37, I can't fathom how that over doesn't hit with both these teams.

The game takes place at Globe Life Park in Texas, so there's no home field advantage or altitude for Army to worry about. I'd jump on board before this line ends up reversed and the Black Knights end up as surprising road favorites. -- Ben Heisler
