There may not be many touchdowns scored on Thursday Night Football between the Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears, so we’re going to be strategic when picking some anytime touchdown scorers in this matchup.

There is a lot of wind expected in Chicago for this game, so I wouldn't be shocked if both teams keep the ball on the ground, especially the Bears since they haven’t let Justin Fields throw the ball much as it is this season.

Here are my three favorite picks to score in what is expected to be a low-scoring matchup:

Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks for Commanders vs. Bears

  • Brian Robinson (+240)
  • Khalil Herbert (+420)
  • David Montgomery (+130)

Brian Robinson (+240)

Brian Robinson Jr. made his NFL debut last week, making a shocking return after getting shot prior to the start of the regular season.

Robinson immediately saw the most carries in the Washington backfield, turning his nine rushes into 22 yards. Antonio Gibson saw just three carries in the game.

I think Robinson will handle the goal-line duty, similar to how he did in the preseason, in this matchup and is by far my favorite Commander to find the end zone.

Khalil Herbert (+420)

Let’s go a little further down the odds board and take the Chicago running back who has found the end zone the most this season… backup Khalil Herbert!

David Montgomery should be healthy and good to go in this game, but he struggled in Week 5, rushing for just 20 yards on 12 carries. If the Bears go with a run-heavy script like I expect, Herbert should mix in for around 8-10 touches, and he could luck out and get a red-zone series as well.

I don’t trust any Bears pass catcher, so give me a running back to find the end zone.

David Montgomery (+130)

We’re covering all of our bases here, because Montgomery is still at plus odds to score in this game.

He found the end zone for the first time in 2022 last week, and he’s a lock to see double-digit touches, even if Chicago ends up in a negative game script.
