Best Home Run Picks Today
- Rafael Devers (+300)
- Christian Walker (+320)
Rafael Devers (+300) - Boston Red Sox vs. St. Louis Cardinals
It's easy to forget that Devers is just 25 years old, but the Red Sox slugger is still entering the prime of his career and putting himself in the thick of the AL MVP race with AL East rival Aaron Judge.
After an explosive 2021 season; hitting a career-high 38 bombs, Devers is on pace to breeze by it this year, improving both his average, slugging percentage, isolated power (ISO) and weighted on-base average (wOBA) by a wide margin.
He gets 40-year old Adam Wainwright tonight at Fenway with the wind howling out to right-center field at 16-plus mph. Not that he needs the bump to his bat, but he'll certainly take it. Wainwright has been terrific, and pitching to a 2.84 ERA in his 40's is no easy task, but he's still giving up a lot of hard contact and Devers has demolished right-handers with a .329 ISO in 2022.
Take the value, and don't devert from Devers tonight. -- Ben Heisler
Christian Walker (+320) - Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Minnesota Twins
Walker has been one of the best home run hitters this year and now he gets a favorable matchup tonight.
The right-handed sluggers goes up against Devin Smeltzer, who’s had a rough last two starts. He’s given up five home runs in that span while combining for only four strikeouts.
If Smeltzer continues to pitch the way he has, Walker can set the tone and send one out the park. -- Donnavan Smoot
