The Green Bay Packers may have brought back quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but everything isn't perfect in Packerland as Davante Adams reportedly has told the team he will not play the 2022 season on the franchise tag.

According to NFL Media's Iain Rapoport, the Packers and Adams still remain far apart on a potential long-term deal, which certainly throws a bit of a wrench in the plans of Packers bettors.

Green Bay is currently +1000 at WynnBET Sportsbook to win the Super Bowl, good for the third shortest odds in the NFL.

Despite that, the Packers's offense still has some major question marks at receiver, as Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are free agents and Adams is giving the team an ultimatum. Last season, Adams put up 1,553 receiving yards and 11 scores.

Rodgers has proven he can be great with just about anyone at receiver, but the team can't afford to lose Adams who is arguably the best wideout in the game. If the two sides were unable to come to an agreement on a long-term deal, Green Bay's best course of action would likely be to trade Adams.

That certainly wouldn't be to Rodgers' liking, and it's why bettors should expect Adams to play this season now that Rodgers is saying in Green Bay. Still, the Packers' odds at +1000 are a little high for a team that has really struggled in the playoffs for several years now.

Green Bay will be one of the best teams in the league as long as Rodgers is there, but don't feel like you need to jump on the Packers at this price just yet.
