Eagles vs. Football Team Updated Odds and Prediction: What Bettors Need to Know
By Matt De Saro
The Washington Football Team blew their chance at a winning season last week after getting destroyed by the Dallas Cowboys 56-14; falling to 6-9. Despite this, they are still clinging to a slim chance to make the playoffs due to a lot of bad play in the NFC down the stretch.
They will need a lot of teams ahead of them to lose but the WFT also needs to win out. That includes an NFC East showdown with the rival Philadelphia Eagles in Week 17.
The Eagles currently sit in the seventh seed in the NFC playoff race, two games ahead of Washington. Philly has won three of their last four games while Washington has lost three in a row. They are catching three points at FedEx Field after opening at 4.

Eagles vs. Washington Prediction and Pick
While the Eagles are on a three-game tear, it is important that we review those wins before getting too excited. These three victories came against the New York Jets, a Washington team that was decimated by COVID, and a Giants team without their starting quarterback.
While their COVID outbreak is behind them, Washington is still dealing with roster issues and will be without Chase Young and Montez Sweat on Sunday.
It will be the Eagles this time around who are dealing with injury issues with Miles Sanders out with a broken hand. On top of this, QB Jalen Hurts is listed a questionable with an ankle injury. He was a limited participant in practice yesterday and is expected to suit up.
However, Washington is not a good enough team to capitalize on the Eagles' banged-up offense. Their defense was expected to be elite but they are 27th in defense-adjusted value over average after finishing third in that category last year. While they may be healthier than they were in their last game, Washington will fall again and suffer a season sweep at the hand of the Eagles.
Pick: Philadelphia Eagles -3 (-110)
