It’s going to take a AAC Tournament title for either East Carolina or Cincinnati to make the NCAA Tournament this season, but they’ll begin the journey against each other on Thursday.

The Bearcats swept the regular season series between these two teams, winning by eight at home and one on the road.

However, East Carolina may have a chance to upset the Bearcats, as Cincy has lost five straight games heading into tournament play.

Here are the odds for this game via WynnBET

  • Cincinnati: -220

Total:

East Carolina vs. Cincinnati Prediction and Pick

Neither of these teams played well in the conference, as Cincy went 7-11 this season while the Pirates were just 6-11.

East Carolina is the second worst team in the AAC in both offensive and defensive efficiency, according to KenPom, and it is dead last at defending the 3.

Cincinnati isn’t a prolific offensive team, but it doesn’t turn the ball over much posting the second best turnover percentage in the conference.

East Carolina’s path to winning this game is pushing the pace, but that’s going to be tough against a Cincinnati team that is 23rd in the country in opponent field goal percentage and 10th in opponent effective field goal percentage.

I think the Bearcats can get back on track from a rough finish to the regular season and cover on Thursday.

Lean: Cincy -5 (-110)
