The Bears have cycled through three quarterbacks this season and are trying to pull off a feat that only the essentially quarterback-less 2015 Houston Texans accomplished.

Chicago will start Justin Fields this week against the Vikings and go for its third straight win. If they do, it will be the first team since that Texans team to win three straight games with three different quarterbacks.

When the Texans did it, they won with T.J. Yates, Brandon Weeden and Brian Hoyer and ended the season at 9-7.

Foles started in the 25-24 win against the Seahawks, Andy Dalton started in the 29-3 win against the Giants and now Fields is tasked with beating the Vikings, who are expected to get Kirk Cousins back this week.

The Bears have not only won their last two games, but they have also covered as well. Prior to these last two games, Chicago had failed to cover in seven of its previous eight games.

It’s going to be a tough climb for Fields, who hasn’t had the greatest success as a starter this year. In his 12 starts, Fields is averaging 218.6 total yards, 0.8 total touchdowns and 0.9 interceptions per game. The offense just hasn’t clicked around him.

Minnesota’s defense should make things a little easier for Fields though. The Vikings are bottom 10 in opponent points per game, yards per game and yards per pass. If there were a team that Fields could get going against, it would be the Vikings.

Neither team is going to the playoffs, but Fields still has a lot of development left. A win this week as a 4.5-point underdog could go a long way in the offseason, but it's going to a historic feat if they do.
