Bitter NFC East Rivals, the New York Giants, and Philadelphia Eagles are set to do battle in Week 16. These two teams are heading in opposite directions with the Eagles still in the hunt for the division while the Giants are 4th in the division with a 4-10 record.

The Eagles are 6-7 overall with a 7-6 record against the spread, but have yet to play their Week 15 game against the Washington Football Team. This leaves them with a very short week to work with in preparation for this division showdown. As of now, they are ninth in the NFC playoff standings but a win tonight would but them into eighth. Philly has won three of their last five with the two losses coming on close games to the Chargers and Giants.

Speaking of the G-Men, that close loss to the Eagles was the last “good game” they played. And things won't be getting much better now that Daniel Jones has been shut down for the season due to an ongoing neck issue. That leaves New York with Mike Glennon or Jake Fromm to start against the Eagles.

The Eagles still have a lot to play for while New York is just trying to play spoiler as the Eagles have done to them many times in the past.

Giants vs. Eagles Prediction and Pick

When these two teams faced off a few weeks ago, the odds opened a lot shorter with a spread of 3.5. What a difference a few weeks can make. While the Eagles are still in the playoff hunt, the Giants will be lucky to not finish dead last in the division.

However, I don’t think the Giants have much fight left in them and their win over the Eagles was their last hurrah. Also, on top of the Jones injury, Sterling Shepard was placed on IR with a torn Achilles, further limiting the weapons the Giants have on offense. And their offense looked bad enough at “full strength.” The Eagles have too much at stake to lose twice to a bad Giants team and I expect they exact their revenge for the earlier upset loss.

Pick: Philadelphia Eagles -10 (-110)
