Davante Adams is gone, Aaron Rodgers is back and the Green Bay Packers are once again the favorites in the NFC North.

The Packers have a ton of talent on the defensive side of the ball with Jaire Alexander, Rashan Gary and Kenny Clark, and they’ll need it to carry what is going to be an interesting offense in 2022.

Rodgers will have the likes of Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, Sammy Watkins, Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs at his disposal on the outside, but A.J. Dillon and Aaron Jones figure to factor into the passing game as well.

The Packers failed to win a playoff game despite earning the No. 1 seed in the NFC last season, but the NFC is wide open with so many players switching teams this offseason.

Let’s jump into the Packers’ offseason moves and how they stack up in the futures market entering the 2022 regular season:

Green Bay Packers Offseason Moves, Signings, Coaching Changes

  • Drafted WRs Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs.
  • Signed WR Sammy Watkins.
  • Signed CB Jaire Alexander to contract extension.
  • Drafted LB Quay Walker.
  • Re-signed CB Rasul Douglas.
  • Re-signed TE Robert Tonyan.
  • Signed DT Jarran Reed.
  • Re-signed QB Aaron Rodgers.
  • Traded WR Davante Adams.
  • Promoted Adam Stenavich to offensive coordinator to replace Nathaniel Hackett.

Green Bay Packers 2022 Schedule

The Packers have five primetime games this season, and they open the 2022 campaign on the road against the Minnesota Vikings.

There isn’t a tough stretch on the Packers’ schedule, but games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills will be solid tests for the team’s title aspirations.

Green Bay Packers 2022 Win Total Prediction

  • OVER 11 (-110)
  • UNDER 11 (-110)

Green Bay has won 13 games in three straight years, and I think this is a spot to take the OVER on the Packers’ win total in 2022.

Yes, Adams is gone, but this is one of the better defenses Rodgers has ever had, and Jaire Alexander is healthy after missing most of the 2021 season. Green Bay also has an extremely easy division, with the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears both expected to be among the league’s worst teams.

You get the caveat of a push here with the number right at 11, but I really think Green Bay has a shot to be the best team in the NFC. Matt LaFleur and Rodgers are 39-10 in the regular season together, and as good as Adams is, his departure doesn’t change my overall outlook on this team in the regular season.

Lean: OVER 11 (-110)

Green Bay Packers 2022 Odds to Win Division, NFC, Super Bowl

  • To Make the Playoffs: YES -500/NO +350
  • Odds to Win NFC North: -190
  • Odds to Win NFC: +400
  • Odds to Win Super Bowl 57: +1000

There’s no value in taking Green Bay to win the division or make the postseason, but I think the Packers are worth taking to win the NFC in 2022.

Yes, Rodgers has failed to lead his team to a Super Bowl in several seasons, but he may finally have the supporting cast on the defensive side that will give him a break.

The Rams and Buccaneers are going to be tough opponents in the NFC, but they also have flaws. Tampa Bay is relying on Tom Brady, who retired prior to this season, and a banged up offensive line.

Matthew Stafford has an injury with his throwing arm, and the Rams’ depth isn’t as great as you’d think, even though their top line talent is some of the best in the league.

Green Bay has a shot in the NFC, especially if it clears its win total in 2022.

Lean: Packers to Win the NFC (+400)
