Two of the top four teams in the Eastern Conference square off on Monday night, as the Atlanta Hawks take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Cleveland is fresh off a win over the Miami Heat on Sunday night, blowing out a shorthanded team to move to 10-6 on the season.

Atlanta has a wild win on Saturday night, using a terrific play design on the final play of overtime to beat the Toronto Raptors.

The crazy Hawks trend that I have been following for two seasons is still alive, as Atlanta’s 25-point loss to Boston on Friday marked the 43rd straight time Atlanta failed to cover in a loss.

So, with the Hawks set as short dogs tonight, you should either bet them to win outright, or not all.

Let’s dive into the latest odds:

Hawks vs. Cavaliers Odds, Spread and Total

Hawks vs. Cavaliers Prediction and Pick

Atlanta does have three outright wins as an underdog this season, and I think this could be another spot for the Hawks to pull off an upset.

The Cavs are coming into this game a little banged up, as Kevin Love is listed as day-to-day, Dean Wade is out, and Caris LeVert left Sunday’s win with a left ankle injury.

A shorthanded team on a back-to-back is never a good sign.

Even though the Hawks needed overtime to beat the Raptors, the team is winning games despite Trae Young struggling mightily from the field (39.4 percent) this season.

Cleveland’s backcourt of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland isn’t exactly known for its defense, so I think Young and Dejounte Murray can eat in this game.

The Cavs are just 2-5 since starting 8-1, so I’m not sold on them being able to hang with some of the top teams in each conference on a nightly basis.
