There isn't a team in Major League Baseball hotter than the New York Yankees, and they are on a historic pace through their first 30 games.

New York hold a 22-8 record, good for the No. 1 spot in MLB and the AL East, and it's one of the best starts in franchise history. It's so good, in fact, that every other Yankees team that has won 22 or more of its first 30 games has either made or won the World Series.

Made or won the World Series you say? That's pretty interesting.

The Yankees are currently +1000 to win the World Series this season at WynnBET Sportsbook, and they are +450 to win the American League, behind only the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Yankees haven't had the toughest schedule to start the season, but they have dominated the Jays, going 6-3 through their first nine games. New York has done it with timely hitting and elite pitching, posting the No. 2 team ERA and the No. 5 OPS in baseball through the first 30 games.

The Yankees also have a run differential of plus-52, better than every team except the Los Angeles Dodgers at this point in the season.

There is obviously a fear that the Yankees could be peaking too early, or get hit by the injury bug, but the historical significance of this start can't be be ignored. The Yankees have really taken a step forward in 2022 after a down 2021 season, and they look like a legitimate contender in the AL.

The Yankees have steadily been climbing in the odds to win the World Series, so there isn't as much value now as there was early in the season, but if you believe in history, this may be the time to jump on the train.
