The Washington Commanders are in desperate need of a win on Thursday Night Football against the Chicago Bears, but they will be without one of their top weapons in the matchup.

First-round pick Jahan Dotson, who leads the team with four receiving touchdowns this season, will miss his second straight game with a hamstring injury. Dotson's absence certainly puts a major hole in the Commanders' offense, but it was receiver Dyami Brown (two catches, 105 yards, two touchdowns) who benefitted the most from him being out of the lineup in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans.

Earlier this week, Dotson spoke about prioritizing his health for the long term this season, rather than trying to rush back into the lineup from his hamstring injury.

Right now, the Commanders are actually favored in this matchup. Washington was an underdog as late as Wednesday, but the line has moved towards Carson Wentz and company despite the injury concerns at receiver.

Dotson has been terrific stretching the field for the Commanders this season, catching 12 of his 22 targets in four games. Bettors and fantasy owners can expect an uptick in usage for Curtis Samuel, Brown and Terry McLaurin on the outside in this game.

Cam Sims, the team's No. 5 receiver, also made a catch for seven yards with Dotson out last week. My lean for anytime touchdown scorers or receiving props would probably go to the more proven weapons in Samuel and McLaurin.

However, it is worth noting that Wentz is banged up entering this matchup and the wind is expected to be whipping at Soldier Field which could make throwing the ball tough for both teams.

Dotson, who was a dark horse for Rookie of the Year prior to the injury, will have a long week off before the Commanders take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 7.
