The Indianapolis Colts, despite a few plays away from being 0-4-1 through the first five weeks of the season, have found themselves at 2-2-1 heading into a crucial Week 6 matchup at home vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jacksonville took over the latest odds a week ago to win the AFC South after opening at +750, but them stumbled at home to the previously winless Houston Texans, dropping to 2-3 in 2022.

The Jaguars throttled the Colts in Jacksonville back in Week 2, shutting them out 24-0. What should bettors expect several weeks later in Indianapolis?

Here are the latest odds for Sunday's matchup:

The original lookahead line for this game was Colts -7. Last Sunday, the Colts re-opened as a 1.5-point home favorite, slowly working all the way up to -2 and -2.5 depending on the book.

The total started at 44, but has since worked its way down to 42.

Jaguars vs. Colts Prediction and Pick

The Colts on the moneyline was my first bet of the week, and I'm sticking to it several days later.

As I wrote earlier this week, there's a long sample size regarding Frank Reich's teams turning things around from Weeks 6 and beyond. In Weeks 1-5, he's 10-14-1 straight up, including this season. After Week 6, his teams have gone 29-16.

Meanwhile, the Colts' extended rest off the Thursday Night Football win on the road at Denver couldn't have come at a better time. Star running back Jonathan Taylor returned to practice, and newly extended linebacker Shaquille Leonard is also on the mend, though his status for Sunday remains questionable.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars couldn't get anything going offensively against one of the worst teams in the league, and now play their third road game in the last four weeks.

For what it's worth, BetSided's Donnavan Smoot is on the other side, taking the Jaguars plus the points against a team they seem to consistently play well. With Indy knowing the stakes of this game, as well as for the division, I'll take them to get it done on extended rest at home.
