The New York Knicks have won five of their last seven games, and they’ll host the Utah Jazz at Madison Square Garden on Sunday with a chance to make some ground up in the Eastern Conference standings.

New York is on the outside looking in for the play-in tournament, but a strong finish could give it a chance at the No. 10 seed. The Jazz, on the other hand, have a 1.5-game cushion on the No. 4 spot in the West after winning back-to-back games.

Utah won the first matchup between these two teams back on Feb. 7, but can the Jazz win and cover on the road?

Here are the odds via WynnBET

Jazz vs. Knicks Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Knicks +5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Jazz: -210
  • Knicks: +170

Total:

Jazz vs. Knicks Prediction and Pick

The Knicks had a seven-game covering streak snapped in their win over the Washington Wizards on Friday, but they may have a chance to keep this game close.

Utah is just 12-15 against the spread when favored on the road this season, but the Knicks are 3-7 ATS when they are underdogs at home. The trend doesn’t line up well on either side, so let’s break down the current form of these teams.

Despite their subpar season, the Knicks have played much better over their last 10 games, ranking 15th in offensive rating and fourth in defensive rating. For the entire season, they are 23rd and 12th in those respective metrics.

As for Utah, it is 10th in offensive rating and sixth in defensive rating over its last 10 games, and it has rebounded nicely since losing to the Milwaukee Bucks by scoring 125 and 121 points in two straight double-digit wins.

I think the Jazz can handle business against the Knicks today, as New York has simply been too inconsistent offensively, especially against good teams, to trust at such a low number.

Lean: Jazz -5 (-110)
