We're blessed with one of the easiest tournaments on the PGA Tour this weekend as TPC Deere Run hosts the John Deere Classic.

Be sure to check out my tournament preview, favorite dark horse picks and projections for the top golfers before you fill out your bet slip at WynnBET Sportsbook, though it's important to also know what each golfer needs to shoot to make the cut.

Given the layout of the course provides a ton of birdie opportunities, we should see a lower cut line than normal. So what will it be?

What Will Be the John Deere Classic Cut Line?

Golfers have to come out swinging. Any lapse in play could leave you falling behind the pack, and we've seen that play out historically.

Here's a look back at the cut line over the last 10 years at the John Deere Classic:

  • 2021: -4
  • 2019: -3
  • 2018: -3
  • 2017: -2
  • 2016: -3
  • 2015: -4
  • 2014: -2
  • 2013: -4
  • 2012: -4
  • 2011: -4

As you can see, golfers have no chance if they don't get off to a hot start. With solid weather conditions predicted for the weekend, I expect another year of low scores.

The cut line should be, at a minimum, -2. However, with the recent strong performance from so many players across tour, I think we'll return to the -4 range in what should be a thrilling weekend.

Cut Line Prediction: -4
