Kansas vs. Baylor Prediction and Odds (Bears and Under are the Play)
By Reed Wallach
Two of the Big 12's best go at it when Kansas travels to Waco, Texas to face Baylor.
Kansas blew out Baylor in the first meeting between these two, 83-59, one of the worst results of Scott Drew's era as coach of the Bears, but will have the team looking for revenge in front of the home crowd.
Here are the odds for this Final Four caliber matchup on Saturday evening from WynnBET Sportsbook.
Kansas vs. Baylor Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Kansas: +2.5 (-110)
- Baylor: -2.5 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Kansas: +120
- Baylor: -145
Total: 148 (Over -110/Under -110)
Kansas vs. Baylor Prediction and Pick
I like Baylor to get some revenge on KU here after the Jayhawks laid waste to them earlier this month. However, ShotQuality graded the 24-point loss much closer and essentially a wash, meaning that KU couldn't miss and Baylor couldn't hit a ton of good looks.
My best bet from this morning's column was the under, which has taken some money as the market agrees with my thought that Baylor's defense will limit the Kansas offense this time around.
I get that Kansas has defensive issues, but I have this game lined much lower than the total of 148 in what should be more of a defensive minded matchup with Baylor still nursing some injuries but the more motivated side after one of the worst results of the Scott Drew era. The no-middle defense and home crowd should make this game more of a rock fight. Not to mention, Kansas big man David McCormack has been a bit banged up of late, which can slow down the Jayhawks offense.
I admittedly bet 150.5 at open, but there's value in this down to 147. I also like getting an under on the Jayhawks after they hung 102 points last time out against Kansas State and lean towards Baylor grabbing a convincing home victory.
PICK: UNDER 148, Baylor ML
