Knicks vs. Bulls Prediction and Odds: New York's the Better Bet on the Road

The New York Knicks have been struggling this month, nearly dropping to .500 on Saturday night before eking out a win over the NBA’s worst team, the Houston Rockets. 

The Chicago Bulls, on the other hand, have been arguably the biggest surprise in the NBA this season, defeating the Denver Nuggets in Denver their last time out. These two teams played a barn burner earlier in the season, with the Knicks winning 104-103 at United Center.

The Knicks have the awful problem of playing down (or up) to their competition this season. It’s a blessing and a curse, as New York has beaten the Philadelphia 76ers twice, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Bulls already this season, but also lost two games to the Orlando Magic. 

The Knicks have been much better on the road (5-2 straight up and 4-3 ATS) than at home this season (4-5 straight up, 3-6 ATS), but this is a tough matchup on a back-to-back. 

The biggest thing for the Knicks will be the play of Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker, who have struggled a lot lately, but Fournier bounced back with a 19-point game on Saturday. 

New York’s defense has improved after a poor start, as the Knicks are now 17th in defensive rating, but their offensive rating has slipped to 11th in the NBA. Chicago is sixth and seventh in those respective categories, and has simply been the better team this year. 

However, I think New York gets up for this game against Tom Thibodeau’s former team and makes the Bulls sweat one out. I’ll take the Knicks with the points.
