Kyle Turley Gives 2022 Super Bowl Pick, Talks Cannabis Advocacy for NFL Players

Kyle Turley is a former NFL all-pro offensive lineman whose career got cut short due to multiple serious injuries. Since retiring, he has been on the forefront of the conversation surrounding the use of medical cannabis to help treat physical and neurological issues that NFL players deal with in their careers, while also speaking out about the overuse of opioids across the league.

I got the chance to talk to him this week about his new brand movement, Revenant, as well as country music, and of course, his pick for this weekend's Super Bowl.

Turley has launched the Revenant brand alongside other former NFL players Jim McMahon and Eben Britton. This is what he had to say about his experience with cannabis:

"Cannabis saved our lives. Me, personally, I can attest to that, that it truly did, there's nothing else outside of God that gave this plant to us that has proven that this has the opportunity to pull so many people out of these situations that they're in with illness and injury, dealing with pain and all these other struggles. Cognitive issues, especially, from football. These things are all resolved and things that I deal with on a daily basis with cannabis that I had no experience dealing with in the pharmaceutical world."

Turley, who spent a couple of years with the Rams, is backing them this upcoming Sunday.

"I kind of think the Rams have a shot this year, and hopefully it'll be a third quarter breakaway."

Along with Victor Cruz, that makes two former NFL players who are backing my Rams pick this week. Glorious!

To finish off the interview, I couldn't let the former New Orleans Saint go without trying to get him to admit that the Falcons will be the 2022 NFC South champions.
