By Thomas Snodgrass
The LSU Tigers (4-3) will travel into Oxford, Mississippi, to take on SEC Conference rival Ole Miss Rebels (5-1) in College Football Week 8.
LSU picked up a big win on Saturday, defeating the No. 20 Florida Gators 49-42. The Tigers’ defense stepped up, intercepting four passes from Gators’ quarterbacks Anthony Richardson and Emory Jones.
Running back Tyrion Davis-Price emerged as an offensive weapon for LSU, rushing for 287 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Florida.
Ole Miss defeated the Tennessee Volunteers in Week 7, 31-26. Rebel’s quarterback Matt Corral added to his Heisman-caliber campaign, throwing for 231 yards and two touchdowns in the air and ran for a ridiculous 195 yards on the ground.

LSU vs. Ole Miss Prediction and Pick
Both LSU and Ole Miss have had defensive struggles all season. The Tigers are allowing 28.4 points per game and the Rebels are allowing 30.2 points per game.
LSU allowed 38 points to UCLA, 42 points to Kentucky and 42 points to Florida this season, while Ole Miss allowed 42 points to Alabama and 51 points to Arkansas.
Matt Corral is an offensive force by himself, averaging 288 passing yards and 75 rushing yards per game, and is responsible for 22 total touchdowns. Tigers quarterback Max Johnson has thrown for 20 touchdown passes to just four interceptions.
This game should be a high-scoring, no-defense slugfest, but Ole Miss has the edge with a solid rushing attack.
I’m taking LSU on the spread at +11. I’ll take the over too if it dips down closer to 70 before game time.
