It only took three quarters for Matt Corral to put away Tulane, and the Ole Miss quarterback did it with seven, yes seven touchdowns.

Corral has steadily moved himself into the conversation for the Heisman Trophy the first few weeks of the season, but the oddsmakers at WynnBET took it one step further after Week 3.

Corral (+180) is the new favorite to win the Heisman over Bryce Young (+200). Young and Corral are the only players that have odds shorter than +1000 to win the award.

Heisman Trophy Odds Ahead of Week 4

  • Matt Corral - Ole Miss: +180 (opening at +2000)
  • Bryce Young - Alabama: +200 (opened at +1000)
  • Spencer Rattler - Oklahoma: +1000 (opened at +450)
  • Desmond Ridder - Cincinnati: +3000 (opened at +5000
  • JT Daniels - Georgia: +3000 (opened at +1500)
  • CJ Stroud - Ohio State: +4000 (opened at +1500)
  • Bijan Robinson - Texas: +5000 (opened at +2000)
  • Malik Willis - Liberty: +5000 (not in Top 20 opening odds)
  • Cade McNamara - Michigan: +6000 (Not in Top 20 opening odds)
  • D.J. Uiagalelei - Clemson: +6000 (opened at +900)

Corral has dominated in Lane Kiffin’s high-powered offense, and the Rebels are now the No. 13 team in the country. It’s a huge move for Ole Miss ahead of an Oct. 2 date with No. 1 ranked Alabama, and Corral will have a chance to solidify his Heisman case in that contest.

Corral and Young will go head-to-head, and while Young played well in Alabama’s narrow win over Florida, he hasn’t put up the gaudy numbers that Corral has this season.

A head-to-head win would not only do wonders for either player’s Heisman chances, but it would also help both teams in the race to land in the College Football Playoff.

Corral has 997 passing yards, nine touchdowns and no interceptions this season, and he’s added 158 rushing yards and five more scores. The Rebels will go as far as Corral takes them, and he will likely remain the Heisman favorite if he can continue to put up these unreal numbers.
