The PGA Tour will continue it's California swing this week before taking a break from it to head to Arizona for next week's Phoenix Open.

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has become an iconic event, and each of the three courses that host the tournament has a classic West Coast style to it. It may seem silly, but there are golfers that thrive at California courses.

Style, design, types of grass used. There are legitimate differences in California courses that some golfers find more comfortable. Patrick Cantlay might be the best example of this, and he's set as the favorite this week for good reason.

If you want to ride this train of thought, one other golfer you may want to consider wagering on is Maverick McNealy.

If you're a casual golf fan or bettor, you may not recognize his name, but Maverick McNealy is right up there with Patrick Cantlay when it comes to performing at California events.

WynnBET has him listed at +2200 (bet $100 to profit $2,200) to win this week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and a big reason for those odds is that Pebble Beach has been where he's shined the most in his career, with a T5 and a 2nd place finish the last two years.

He's also finished 30th or better in five straight starts, so he could be peaking at the perfect time heading into this week. He also ranks 19th in total strokes gained on Tour this season.

Don't be surprised if the 26-year old Portola Valley native grabs his first professional win this weekend.
