The Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks will face off in the Western Conference Finals, and it’s safe to say that very few people expected Dallas to be here

The Mavericks rode another monster game from Luka Doncic to win Game 7 in convincing fashion against the top-seeded Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

We’re going to get all the star power that we can handle between Doncic, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole in this series. The Mavs play at the league’s slowest pace, and they have figured out a way to surround Doncic with elite shooting to go on this run as the No. 4 seed.

Golden State has looked unstoppable when it is firing on all cylinders, but it also looked like a shell of itself in a blowout loss in Game 5 to the Memphis Grizzlies. Who should you bet in this series?

Mavericks vs. Warriors Prediction and Pick

Luka Doncic is the best player left in the postseason, but does he have enough to beat the Warriors No. 2 defense?

It’s going to be interesting to see how the Warriors decide to guard Doncic with Gary Payton II done for the season, and both of these teams are going to play ultra small since neither has a dominant big.

That could mean more minutes for Damion Lee and Jonathan Kuminga for the Warriors, but Golden State is going to need to avoid the turnover woes that have plagued it at times in the playoffs, and a youngster like Kuminga is certainly susceptible.

Doncic is great at hunting mismatches, but I ultimately think the Warriors, unlike the Suns, have the shooting and star power to keep up with this Mavs team.

I’ll lean with Golden State in seven games, and I think we’re in for a wildly entertaining matchup.

Lean(s): Warriors (-210) | Warriors in 7 (+350)
