Michael Vick Predicting Cowboys-Panthers Matchup to Go Down to Wire
By Peter Dewey
Former NFL quarterback and current FOX NFL analyst Michael Vick made a bold prediction for today’s Dallas Cowboys-Carolina Panthers matchup.
Vick believes that Dak Prescott and the Cowboys will beat the Christian McCaffrey-less Panthers, but only by a field goal. Carolina comes into this week at 3-0, but Dallas is fresh off a blowout win on Monday Night Football over the Philadelphia Eagles and a 4.5-point home favorite at WynnBET.
FOX NFL Analyst Predictions for Week 4
- Charissa Thompson: Kansas City Chiefs (-7.0) by 7 over Philadelphia Eagles
- Michael Vick: Dallas Cowboys (-4.5) by 3 over Carolina Panthers
- Charles Woodson: Washington Football Team (-2.0) by 3 over Atlanta Falcons
- Dave Wannstedt: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-7.0) by 7 over New England Patriots
- Peter Schrager: Chicago Bears (-2.5) by 2 over Detroit Lions
- Rob Stone: New Orleans Saints (-7.0) by 13 over New York Giants
Vick isn’t the only FOX analyst that doesn’t expect a favorite to cover in this one, and with the public hammering Dallas (76.1 percent of the spread bets are on the Cowboys, including 83.2 percent of the handle at WynnBET), sportsbooks certainly would love if the Panthers were able to cover.
Carolina will turn to rookie Chuba Hubbard in the backfield to replace the dynamic McCaffrey, but Sam Darnold will also have to step up for Carolina to beat a tough Dallas team.
The Cowboys defense has been much improved under Dan Quinn this season, and while Carolina has rolled through some easy competition to open the season, Dallas may be the team’s toughest opponent to date.
