The bulk of today's MLB action goes down this evening, with four matchups in the early to mid-afternoon; followed by a massive 12-game evening slate starting at 6:05 p.m. ET.

For today's top bets, I've got three props on the board, all involving overs. With two stud starting pitchers to back, along with one of the game's best hitters, today's slate offers all sorts of betting goodness on the board.

Here are my top 3 favorite MLB prop bets of the day, with each player's respective sportsbook odds listed below.

Top MLB Bets Today

Joe Ryan OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-105) - BetMGM
Brandon Woodruff OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-116) - FanDuel Sportsbook
Paul Goldschmidt OVER 1.5 Total Bases (-130) - FanDuel Sportsbook

Joe Ryan OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-105) - Minnesota Twins at Detroit Tigers

The Twins' 26-year old right-hander isn't known as a big strikeout pitcher, but depending on the matchup, he can rack up the K's with some of the league's best.

Enter the Detroit Tigers, who are just 2-8 over their last 10 games, and strike out the fifth-most in the Majors at 23.6%.

Ryan mowed down Detroit in Minneapolis back in late April for seven innings of 1-hit ball; striking out nine for a season high. I get that he hasn't hit this number in his last two starts, as well as three of his last four outings, but the Tigers are a different animal and Ryan knows how to tame them.

Brandon Woodruff OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-116) - Milwaukee Brewers vs. Colorado Rockies

Colorado's offense is anemic away from Coors Field, ranking third-worst in the majors in Weighted Runs Created Plus (wRC+) and striking out more than 22% of the time.

Woodruff enters the matchup with a strikeout rate above 30%, and has cleared this prop by several strikeouts in three of his last four games.

The Brewers are a near 1/3 home favorite as oddsmakers project a rough day at the park for Colorado in Milwaukee.

Paul Goldschmidt OVER 1.5 Total Bases (-130) - St. Louis Cardinals at Cincinnati Reds

I'm already on board with Goldschmidt as my "Daily Dinger" home run prop pick for today, and with his numbers vs. left-handed pitching in general, as well as specifically vs. Mike Minor, this is an absolute no-brainer to tack on a play here too.

Goldschmidt is 6-12 lifetime vs. Minor with two home runs, and gas a career 1.083 slugging percentage against the veteran lefty. Against left-handers in general, there hasn't been a better player with hotter splits from the right-side.

I don't trust Minor to contain Goldschmidt, who's hit home runs in three consecutive games (before the All-Star break, at the All-Star game, and after the All-Star break).

Goldy at this price for his success in these types of matchups is an absolute bargain.
